It was three speed and the wipers worked off the engine compression; you had to learn very quickly how to change up, and especially down, so as now to suddenly become blinded by the pouring rain. It wasn't a go faster zoom,zoom sporty hey look at me car but it taught me more about driving at the age of eighteen than i've ever learned from a vehicle since, and I am now 55, 56 this Sunday coming (3rd any small gift will do).
