It had the 1.5 flat 4 boxer engine with duel distributors which produced 115bhp, coupled with a light weight aluminium body it had a top speed of 138mph, even today some cars with this size engine would struggle to reach that. It was made primarily for racing and only had a run of 90 cars which makes them very desirable today among collectors today, if you have the cash! Most people though will associate this car with one of the coolest icons of the 50's as it was this model of car that James Dean was tragically killed in.  |
